Janelia wants your help deciding her next music video

janeliaAfro-Pop and Reggae musician, Janelia, is basking in the feat so far recorded by her new album title Triumph, the title track of which debuted at number 25 and climbed up to number 9 in a few weeks on Believe Digital, an independent music platform that reaches Amazon, iTunes, Spotify and over 200 markets worldwide.

“For a song that I have not shot a music video to promote, well, that hike is quite impressive. Thanks to the thousands of you who continually engage with me and support me,” the half Nigerian half Jamaican artiste said.

Based in Baltimore, Janelia’s musical influences include Sade, Bob Marley, Fela Kuti & Barbra Streisand. Her band also known as JaneliaSoul is the first and only female fronted Afro-Pop/Reggae band in the DC/Maryland/Virginia (DMV) area.

Here comes the dilemma. With the title track of her album receiving many great reviews such as the one by Vent Magazine, Janelia feels it’s quite natural that the next music video she shoots is ‘Triumph’.

However, based on the stats, track 5 of the album, ‘Cocoa’, is getting more single downloads and everyone just seems to love this song.

She continues the story: “Although I have started making preparations to shoot the video for ‘Triumph’ I have this strong feeling in my stomach that I should be shooting ‘Cocoa’ instead and promote it first.”

Stuck between sentiments and what is practical, she is reaching out to music lovers to help decide which of the two songs should get the nod.

“I need your help with this. Which of the two songs do you like most?  Which music video do I shoot next? ‘Triumph’ or ‘Cocoa’?” she asks.

Those who don’t already have the album can listen to both songs on her website and send a reply within a week.

“Your feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!” she concludes.
