Hollywood actress, Jada Pinkett Smith, has expressed displeasure about All Eyez on Me, a film about the life of the late rapper, Tupac Shakur.

The actress on Friday took to social to share her thoughts about the film and how some scenes in the film were inaccurate.

She said a few specific moments in the film didn’t happen in real life.

“The reimagining of my relationship to Pac has been deeply hurtful,” she wrote on Facebook.

In her post, she pointed out “Pac never read me that poem, I didn’t know that poem existed until it was printed in his book. Pac never said goodbye to me before leaving for LA. He had to leave abruptly and it wasn’t to pursue his career.”

Jada is portrayed in the film by Kat Graham who has said she was met with surprise for playing Jada Pinkett in a Tupac film.

She made a point to congratulate Kat and Demetrius Shipp Jr. who portrays Tupac.

“This is not a fault of yours. Thank you for bringing so much heart and spirit to your roles. You both did a beautiful job with what you were given. Thank you both.”

L.T. Hutton, a producer of the film, however, told TMZ he was “disappointed” that Pinkett Smith was hurt by the scenes.

He said he took some liberties in filming, but did his research and made sure to create the idea that it was “who Tupac was, who he wanted to be and who he needed to be.”

Hutton added that it all “came from the truth.”

All Eyez on Me was released in the US on June 16 and charts the life of Tupac form his early days in New York to becoming one of the biggest hip-hop artists before his untimely death at the age of 25 in 2006.

The extent of the relationship between Tupac and Jada is not known; their close friendship developed when they met at the Baltimore school for the Art.

After high school, the pair remained close with the rapper describing Jada as ‘my heart’.
