Singer Iyanya Mbuk has corrected a fan who claimed that his colleague D’banj wrote his hit song ‘Kukere’.
A Twitter user who goes by the name Arunse recently tweeted that D’banj co-wrote the song with Iyanya.
“So Kukere by Iyanya was co-written by D’banj? Wow we learn everyday sha…this song brings me good Ol’ memories fr,” the tweet read.
Responding on Wednesday, the singer corrected the user saying that the original version of the song was written by him, while D’banj wrote his won verse in the remix of the song.
“No. Kukere original was written by me. D’banj’s verse in Kukere remix was written by him. Thank you.
After winning the first season of the reality music show Project Fame West Africa, Iyanya released two studio albums including the single Kukere which became a global success.
