Actor Zubby Michael has finally broken his silence on the death of his colleague Junior Pope.

The 39-year-old shared Junior Pope’s picture on his Instagram page on Thursday in which he added that it is difficult to say goodbye.

“It is difficult to say RIP Nwanne,” he simply wrote.

The actor received backlash from social media users for not publicly reacting to the shocking demise of Junior Pope who died in a boat accident alongside four others.

Junior Pope was confirmed dead on the night of April 10 after several attempts to resuscitate him failed. The actor alongside make-up artist Abigail Frederick, and the production crew; Friday, Olanti and Precious drowned in Anam River on their way back from the set of Another Side of Life, a movie produced by Adanma Luke.

While several of his colleagues like Angela Okorie, Ebele Okaro, Ini Edo, Destiny Etiko, Chizzy Alichi, Prince Eke, Jerry Amilo, Patience Ozokwo, and Lizzy Gold publicly reacted to the death of Junior Pope, Zubby Micheal however, maintained his silence.

His silence provoked Angela Okorie who made multiple allegations against him on Instagram, including claims of jealousy and selfishness.

But Zubby in an Instagram post on Thursday, April 18, replied those wondering why he had not publicly mourned his colleague or posted a picture of the deceased like others.

The movie star who served as Junior Pope’s best man during the latter’s wedding in 2014 posted a video on his page with the caption: “Make una rest no be by posting.”
