Nollywood actress Ireti Doyle has apologised to a fan who called her out for giving her a ‘vile peasant look’ for almost bumping into her ‘daughter’.

A Twitter user had made a post on Friday, asking Nigerians about the meanest celebrity they have ever met.

Responding, another user Azure recounted an encounter with the actress at a cinema.

According to Azure, she took a few steps backwards and was about to turn when she almost bumped into a child who she assumed was the actress’ daughter. Realising it was the actress and her ‘daughter’, she quickly apologised and tried to be sure the girl was okay, but Ireti gave her a ‘vile peasant look’.

“This was in 2012/2013. She was at icm cinemas with her little daughter (I think), I took a few steps backwards and was about to turn then I almost bumped into her girl. B4 I even realized it was them I quickly apologized and was trying to be sure the girl was okay.

“If you see the way this lady looked at me even while I was still apologizing…the way she does her mouth in movies when disgusted, was exactly how she did it. It was like ‘Step away from us you vile peasant look. I felt bad I won’t lie, since then I don’t like her at all,” she wrote.

Reacting to her tweet, Ireti apologised saying “I apologised.”

The 54-year-old recently declared that she is in no way connected to her daughter’s company Kachi Beauty Products which has been accused of scamming customers of millions of naira.

The declaration was made in an Instagram post on Monday. According to her, ” I do not and have never owned a share, been a director, been on the payroll or received any financial benefit from said business.”
