Nollywood actress, Etinosa Idemudia, has stated that she is not bleaching her skin but simply lightening it.
She said this in a video she posted on Instagram on Friday in which she applies some skin lightening products in order to ‘test the integrity of the products’.
“First ambassadorial duty is to commission and test the integrity of the product..,” she wrote.
The actress also boasted that she would be ‘white’ after using the products for only three months.
Etinosa disagreed with critics who say that engaging in skin lightening is a result of low self-esteem. “It is love of skin that makes one to desire a perfect skin,” she said.
Etinosa recently spoke out in defence of skin lightening, earning her a sponsorship deal with a skin lightening brand.
However, her comments also drew criticism from some quarters, especially from the President of the Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide, Apostle Johnson Suleman.
