The statement credited to the Oba of Lagos, Oba Akiolu, in which he reportedly threatened Igbos living in Lagos to either vote for his preferred candidate, Akinwunmi Ambode, or perish in the lagoon has continued to generate diverse reactions.
The latest entertainer to join his voice to the fray is Maga Don Pay singer, Kelly Hansome who took to his Instagram page to assert that Igbos will no longer tolerate any form of disrespect from any quarters.
He wrote, ‘With all due respect, Igbos will no longer tolerate any more kind of disrespect or threat, further directed directly or indirectly at us. We are neither slaves, beggars nor destitute. We are legal, peaceful, hardworking and industrious resident citizens of this great African soil…’
