US born Nigerian rapper, Iceberg Slim, has dedicated his new song titled ‘Oluwa’ to his mother who died in April.
The song will be premiered at noon on Tuesday on Naija FM.
It comes six months after he released ‘Wave’ (Remix) featuring Davido, L.A.X, Shatta Wale, Terry Apala and Wale Turner.
In the new song, the man born Olusegun Olowokere “shows his versatility with some heartfelt lyrics and sweet melodies over a speaker-banging beat,” a statement from his publicists reads.
Iceberg Slim announced the death of his mother in May, six weeks after it occurred.
I’ve been living in denial for the past 6 weeks. Constantly masking my emotions, hoping that perhaps someone would wake me up and tell me it’s only a dream. Coming to terms with this sad reality has been one of the worst experiences, and I can’t fathom what life will be like, now that you’re gone. I’ve gone through a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions, yet the pain still lingers. Truly, God knows best. Till we meet again, rest well Mom. #HappyMothersDay #RIPMom ??
The burial took place in Ilesa, Osun State in June with his Ghanaian actress girlfriend, Juliet Ibrahim, and other friends in attendance.
