Ibrahimovic scores hat trick in MLS derby against league leaders

Swedish footballer, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, produced a stunning individual performance as he scored a perfect hat-trick for LA Galaxy against cross-town rivals, Los Angeles FC.

The 37-year-old has been embroiled in a feud with opposition player, Carlos Vela, before the match.

LA Galaxy hosted league leaders, Los Angeles FC, with the visitors taking an early lead through Vela.

He opened the scoring from the spot, however Ibrahimovic, returned with three unanswered goals.

He leveled just four minutes after with a superb karate-esque strike from the edge of the box.

He then put his side in front just before the hour mark with a towering header.

The ex-Manchester United man completed his hat-trick in the 70th minute with a long-range hit.

“When you play against a rival like that, in a full stadium, I get pumped. I get adrenaline. This is considered to be the biggest game in the league and I show up in the biggest games,” Ibrahimovic said after the game.

After the game, Ibrahimovic posted a message on Twitter proclaiming himself “LA”.
