Ibrahimovic is the greatest – Usain Bolt

Usain Bolt made history on Sunday when he clinched gold in the 100m athletics event at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Bolt, 29, ran 9.81 seconds to beat Justin Gatlin to his record third successive title – following up his wins at Beijing 2008 and London 2012.

The Jamaican is now celebrated as probably the best sprinter in history and could clinch two other medals in the 200m and 4x100m relay events.

However, Bolt who is a proud Manchester United fan, sparred some time to hail the impact of new signing, Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Swedish striker scored a 30-yard stunner for United the week after he grabbed the winner for his side against Premier League champions, Leicester City, in the Community Shield.

While Bolt wasn’t too pleased with his own performance, he has been impressed by the remarkable qualities of the former Paris-Saint Germain forward.

“I expected to go faster, but I’m happy I won,” he said. “I did what I had to.”

The 29-year-old who even volunteered to play for the Old Trafford side in 2012 with Sir Alex Ferguson in charge, revealed who truly is the greatest.

“He has now got two goals in two games,” Bolt revealed.

“That’s a great thing and I’m very happy. Zlatan is the greatest!”
