Nollywood actress and ex-beauty queen Ibinabo Fiberesima on Wednesday shared some eye-popping pictures to celebrate clocking 50.

The Most Wanted actress posted the pictures on Instagram with a message that she feels “utterly special without a care.”

One of the pictures shows her lying on a bed in lingerie.

According to the ex-Miss Wonderland, “It’s been a while for me and I used to love how lingerie made me feel; confident and empowered.

“Lately I’ve been in a funk, but all that means nothing as I reemerge a new, special me. And I feel so much better.”

Telling ladies that “lingerie doesn’t have to serve any intentional sexual purpose,” she asked, “so why don’t you wear it for yourself too and appreciate your own beauty?”

The University of Ibadan graduate is not unmindful of negative impression many people have of her.

“It is inconsequential what people think of me,

“For GOD HAS ME FIRM IN HIS THOUGHTS!

“It is irrelevant how everyone perceives me,

“I rather believe THE BEAUTY GOD SEES IN ME!

“It doesn’t matter what the world calls me,

“But it means the world THAT GOD CALLS ME HIS FRIEND,” Ibinabo said in another of her birthday posts.

Ibinabo has been married twice and has three children.

She has two sons from her first marriage to TV producer Philip Trimnell produced two boys while she gave birth to a boy from an affair with fellow filmmaker Fred Amata.

Her ill-fated marriage to Uche Egbuka collapsed after two years without a child.

Ibinabo has also been in and out of jail for driving the vehicle that killed Dr Suraj Giwa along the Lekki-Epe express road in February 2006.

She was also sacked as president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) by a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos in 2015.

Her closeness to former President Goodluck Jonathan, however, gave several actors access to the State House.

She announced her defection from Jonathan’s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in March 2019 to assist President Muhammadu Buhari “in his bid to move the nation forward.”

Ibinabo is the organiser of the Miss Earth beauty pageant in Nigeria.
