Actress Teniola Aladese has said she is open to dating a producer or director but not a fellow actor.
Speaking on the I Said What I Said podcast, she revealed that her direct messages are flooded with suitors. “Men have audacity. If I open my DMs for you, you will see a lot,” she said.
While she described dating in Lagos as “stressful” and a “very big mess,” Teniola clarified that her personal experiences have not all been bad, adding that she has never had a terrible date.
“I don’t want to date an actor, but I don’t mind the upper echelon like producers and directors,” she explained. She noted that she prefers partners who work behind the scenes rather than those constantly in front of the camera.
Teniola is known for her work both on screen and behind the scenes in Nollywood. She has worked as a producer and casting director, contributing to several film and television projects.
She rose to prominence after starring in the TV series Jemeji and has since featured in films such as Soólè, Big Love, Love in a Pandemic and To Kill a Monkey. Beyond acting, she has also been involved in production roles, having worked on numerous Africa Magic Original Films earlier in her career.
