Nollywood actress Adesua Etomi has recounted her experience during the #EndSARS protest at Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos.
The toll gate was the epicentre of the protests against police brutality and bad governance in October 2020.
In an Instagram post on Wednesday, the actress who revealed that she was six months pregnant said that she cried when she heard the gunshots.
According to the mother of one, she was terrified as she sat in the darkness.
2I can never forget this day. I was 6 months pregnant, crying my eyes out, hearing the gunshots from our house. Sitting in the darkness out of fear. I can’t possibly imagine how terrifying it must have been for those at the toll gate.
I can never forget. For the lives lost throughout the protests, I will never forget,” she wrote.
Celebrities like Kate Henshaw, Falz and Mr Macaroni have also mourned the victims of the protest.
While Kate penned down a message in an Instagram post on Wednesday, Falz and Mr Macaroni led the #EndSARS memorial protest at the Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos.
