I suffered clinical depression for 4 years – Mo’Cheddah

Singer and fashion entrepreneur, Mo’Cheddah, has revealed that she suffered clinical depression for four years.

The 27-year-old took to her Instagram live feed on Saturday to reveal that she had great company of friends and family who tried to help her but still the depression didn’t go away.

“I suffered clinical depression for over four years. I had everything. A great support system, great friends, amazing family and I was still in a dark hole. I pray for God to take my life countless times,” she wrote.

She continued, “I honestly cannot tell you how horrible depression is. It’s a dark place, words cannot explain. Till today my deepest regret was that I didn’t get help early enough.

“I have been in therapy for almost two years now. I am happy, I am strong, and I am okay.”

Last month, Mo’Cheddah got married to her long-term partner, Prince Bukunyi Olateru-Olagbegi.

The couple tied the knot in Lagos.

In August 2017, Mo’Cheddah confirmed that she and Prince Bukunyi are engaged.

Mo’Cheddah and Prince Bukunyi have been long-term partners as the two have been seen going on exotic vacations.

Her husband, Bukunyi Olateru-Olagbegi is the brother of popular Beat FM OAP Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi.
