Singer Nico Gravity has revealed that he is currently battling a serious health condition involving his heart and kidneys.
In a video shared on Facebook by fellow artiste Baba Fryo, the musician was seen appealing to the public for financial assistance as he disclosed details of his illness.
In the clip, Nico Gravity said he has been diagnosed with heart failure and also suffers a kidney infection that has affected his health and daily functioning.
“Guys, I am very sick. For the past two months, I have been diagnosed with heart failure. I need help. I have been urinating blood, which is a kidney issue,” he said.
“The doctors say I should run a series of tests. I underwent a kidney function test, and I was told my kidneys have serious problems. I need urgent help.
“I was informed that my blood pressure affected my heart, and then my heart affected my kidneys. I have spent all I have, and I cannot go out to hustle for money. Please, I need urgent help. I still have many more tests to do. Please, I don’t want to die. Help me.”
Born Paul Okpara, Nico Gravity became known in the Nigerian music scene after gaining attention in 2009 with his song ‘I Wan Finish Timaya’, which drew public interest at the time.
He is associated with the Ajegunle music scene, known for its street influenced sound and raw lyrical expression.
Baba Fryo, who shared the video, is also a singer from the same music community and has remained active in public discussions around industry welfare and support for ageing entertainers.
