Former Big Brother Naija star Uriel Oputa has opened up about her changing views on marriage, revealing she is no longer sure she wants to tie the knot.
In a post on her Instagram Story on Friday, Uriel said that five years ago-or even three to four years ago-her answer to marriage would have been a firm “yes, 100%.”
“But now I think twice,” she admitted, explaining that her hesitation comes from the kind of men she sees around.
“The ratio of men we’ve got left feels like princesses. Inconsistent, egotistical, narcissistic, manipulative,” she wrote.
Uriel also stressed that she does not want a stressful marriage that could affect her health.
“I’m not sure I want to spend the rest of my life on high blood pressure medication,” she said humorously, adding a sweat emoji to drive the point home.
Despite her reservations, the reality TV star remained optimistic about her future.
“But hey – in God we trust. Mine will be different,” Uriel concluded.
Previously, Uriel has been vocal about her thoughts on marriage. In June 2024, she addressed critics questioning her single status, stating that marriage is not for everyone and should not be seen as an achievement. She emphasised that she does not need validation from social media to prove her relationship status and would never post about her partner or marriage online.
