Singer Akinbiyi Ahmed, aka Bella Shmurda, has rejected a portrait of himself and the late Mohabd gifted to him by a fan at his concert.

In a now-viral video, the fan could be seen presenting the gift to the singer who invited him on stage and showed the crowd what the artist made.

Addressing his fans through the microphone, Bella stated that he would not be accepting the gift.

The singer expressed gratitude for life and made a prayer for Mohbad before saying that the artist who brought the picture frame would also be the person to take it back because he could not put the image in his house.

However, he assured the fan of a generous reward for the thoughtful gesture.

“I can’t put this in my house but I will give you your money. You will have to take it back home,” he said in Yoruba.

Bella and Mohbad were close friends before the latter died at the age of 27 under questionable circumstances, with videos of the singer being bullied and assaulted resurfacing after his demise which sparked protests in Lagos State with the hashtag “Justice for Mohbad”.
