Paul Okoye P-Square

Singer Paul Okoye of P-Square has lamented that he paid N70,000 to buy N40,000 because of the current naira scarcity in Nigeria.

The father of three disclosed this in an Instagram story on Thursday.

“Omoh!!!

“I buy money today!!

“Just because I have to pay for a certain visa fee in an embassy and it has to be paid in cash.

“Joke apart.

“I bought 40k with 70k.

“Aahhhh!!!!!!!!

Paul has, however, shown tacit support for President Muhammadu Buhari over the redesign of the N200, N500 and N1000.

The musician and his twin brother Peter Okoye are supporters of Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi.

They believe the naira redesign policy of the Buhari administration and its attendant scarcity will prevent politicians from buying votes in the forthcoming general elections.

“Politicians did not see this coming. So, as it is now old N500 and N1,000 note in the hands off corrupt politicians are now useless. Bubu (Buhari) doing the Lord’s work, Paul tweeted on Thursday.
