I added weight for role in Blood Sisters – Kehinde Bankole

Actress Kehinde Bankole has revealed that she added weight to play the character Olayinka in the Nigerian Netflix series Blood Sisters.

The 37-year-old disclosed this on Twitter on Monday.

According to Kehinde, the decision was made to make her look older than her husband Femi, played by actor, Gabriel Afolayan.

Kehinde also noted that she was gradually working towards losing weight and returning to her normal body size.

“Fitting day weight Vs Final shoot weight. A main personal character goal for me was for yinka to look much older than femi, fatter & definitely more domineering. Thanks to the guidance of the directors @kennethgyang & @biyibandele . Losing it back gradually,” she wrote.

Blood Sisters also stars Ramsey Nouah, Kate Henshaw, Nancy Isime, Ini-Dima-Okojie, Uche Jombo, Deyemi Okanlawon, Keppy Bassey , Toke Makinwa with guest appearances by Joke Silva, Zack Orji and Toyin Abraham.
