Actress Iyabo Ojo has broken her silence on the conviction of actor Baba Ijesha for sexual assault.

An Ikeja Special Offences Court on Thursday, July 14 found Baba Ijesha born Olanrewaju James guilty of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl.

The minor is the foster daughter of comedienne Princess.

Baba Ijesha was found guilty of charges 2, 3, 4 and 5 but discharged and acquitted of charges 1 and 6.

Reacting to the sentence in a recent Instagram post, Iyabo Ojo said the judgment was a victory for victims of abuse.

The 44-year-old also admonished those going through abuse to “speak up”, and never remain silent.

“To all the girl child and boy child being abused, never be AFRAID to speak up and speak out. This victory is for you,” she wrote.

During the sexual assault saga, Iyabo who is also a sexual assault survivor launched a series of attacks on Yomi Fabiyi over what is generally regarded as his disgraceful support for Baba Ijesha.
