How I came out of deep sorrow after my son’s death — Adeboye

Pastor Enoch Adeboye

General overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Pastor Enoch Adeboye has revealed that one of his children helped him recover from the loss of his son Pastor Dare Adeboye.

Dare died on May 4, 2021, in his sleep in Eket, Akwa Ibom State where he was based with his family.

Adeboye had shocked many by preaching on a pulpit just two days after his son died.

Speaking during his sermon on Friday night at the church’s headquarters, Redemption Camp, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway during its Holy Ghost Service, Adeboye said God used one of his (spiritual) daughters to turn the tide.

He said, “When I lost my son last year, then I was deeply in sorrow, I got a text (message) from one of my (spiritual) daughters that suddenly turned the tide. What she wrote was simply this: ‘Daddy, let God carry you.’”

The 80-year-old noted that children are proofs that God is a miracle worker, covenant keeper, burden bearer and the defence of the defenceless.

The remains of Dare were buried at a private vault at the Redemption Camp. The interment followed a farewell service at the Youth Centre, Redemption Camp.
