Actress Blessing Obasi-Nze has opened up about the challenges she and her husband Stan Nze faced before getting married.
Speaking in an interview with media personality Tope Olowoniyan, Blessing revealed that many people tried to discourage Stan from marrying her because she is older than him. Critics warned that her age could affect their chances of having children, but Stan ignored the comments and chose to move forward with their relationship.
She also spoke about a recent Mother’s Day surprise from her husband, which made her reflect on their journey together and the strength of their bond. Blessing recalled supporting Stan during his early struggles, including sacrifices she made when he had very little.
She said: “Marrying my husband has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. I remember people told him not to marry me because I was older, but he didn’t listen. They even said I might reach menopause without giving birth, yet he still chose me. Through it all, he remembers the ways I supported him when he had nothing and the sacrifices I made for him. I will choose my husband today, tomorrow, and forever.”
Blessing and Stan married in 2021 and welcomed their first child in 2023.
