Hillary Clinton: Doyin Okupe goes berserk, attacks Facebook critics

Former Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Doyin Okupe, on Thursday blew a fuse over criticism of the statement he made in the aftermath of the US presidential election.

The controversial politician had said in a post on Facebook on Wednesday that Mrs Clinton of the Democratic Party lost to Republican Donald Trump because she committed blasphemy against God.

Okupe, who earlier in the year admitted to receiving N100m from ex-National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd), in one of the biggest scams recorded in the history of Nigeria, accused Hilary Clinton and her husband, Bill, of encouraging “homosexuality, same sex marriage and all sorts of societal immorality in the USA.”

He alleged that the Democrat wanted to edit the Bible to accommodate current social realities, which he said led to her downfall.

“To make matters worse in July this year Hillary publicly stated that, the words of the Bible (the Word of God) be changed to accommodate ‘current’ social realities.

“What a blasphemy against Jehovah, the maker and ruler of the universe, the God of all flesh, the only living and Supreme God. The bible says ‘the word of God is settled’ how can we imagine that God will allow someone who will change His word to have power! Vanity and nothing short of vanity.”

Among those who called out the loquacious politician over his careless statement was Facebook user, Ajayi Temitope Carter.

“And when Nigerian politicians join any public discourse they turn it upside down. Doyin Okupe: Hillary lost because she wanted to edit the Bible. Sen Ike Ekweremadu: PDP will work closely with Trump as if Trump knew if PDP exists. John Oyegun: Trump won because he bought into our Change Agenda. Fayose: Trump won because Obama supported Buhari. Can you beat these people?” Ajayi wrote.

After reading uncomplimentary remarks about him in the comment section of the post, the man who failed in his bid to become Ogun State governor came out to pour venom on his critics.

“Most of u guys are simply ill bred, uncouth and uncivilized. If a man, politician or not passes a comment, what’s your business. Who made u judges over others. U asked others to shut their mouths yet you vomit foul Babbage from yours!! What have u done wt yr wretched lives that u think u are well positioned to condemn others. U even allude to intellect, when u are just only slightly better than illiterate danfo drivers. If u Dont like what people say or write, just pass on it and move on. U disparage people older than your fathers and u think its hip. Chief oyegun is 75yrs old, a retired revered perm sec and a veritable intellectual and scholar, and ragamuffins like u have the courage to insult him just for expressing his own opinion, May God forgive u (sic),” he wrote.

His response further angered his critics.

“Your personal achievements means NOTHING to any youth my age. Your generation messed up Nigeria and you should apologize for it, at every given opportunity, till your last breath. This is the least you get for the mess. You cannot bully anyone here. Take your arrogance to your village council meeting!” wrote Precious Okuk.

She continued: “The man is totally deficient of emotional intelligence. I can now see why there was a disconnect of the reality from Jonathan. No thanks to opinion from walking septic like you. Each time you open your mouth, the stench of filth polluted the air. Men like you should be hung and flogged in the market square. If you knew how despicably you are perceived, you wouldn’t dare to speak on this platform, let alone with those demeaning words you ascribe to people my generation. Shameless man!”

“Dr Okupe, if Ajayi Temitope Carter’s life is wretched, then it is people like you who have made it so with poor leadership and “mismanagement of our national resources”(which is the most polite and elegant phrasing I can muster at this time). I wonder if the ‘illiterate danfo drivers’ Dr Okupe so disparagingly references would not have even done a better job of leading our nation than what we have seen through the years and particularly in the last administration,” wrote Gbenga X-Adebija.

“What the hell is wrong with this man whose ego is just as his frame?” asked Oyedeji Kayode. “Mr. Big man, you dare not talk down on anybody. This is Nigeria, a Country you have been actively involved in her leadership for over 3 decades and over 100m of her people live in abject and extreme poverty. And you still think that country and her “wretched” people owe you any kind word? Is your name not in that black book of beneficiaries of Dasukigate- a list of people who collected money meant to save lives. We owe you nothing Sir, not even courtesy.”

For Dayo Williams, “Okupe is just a mass of over-bloated protoplasm, and I have no apologies over this. Don’t even know how the ex-physician made it through medical school.”
