Gunmen have kidnapped a Lebanese engineer at Dangi roundabout in Kano.
The assailants, numbering about four, shot the driver in cold blood, killing him in the process.
Eyewitnesses say the attack occurred at 7:40 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
The expatriate was whisked away to an unknown destination.
Kano police spokesperson, Abdullahi Haruna, confirmed the incident, saying that investigation had begun.
The body of the slain driver has been deposited in an undisclosed morgue by policemen.
