Mastercard official to testify in Naira Marley’s trial

Officials of Guaranty Trust Bank and Mastercard will testify in the trial of musician, Naira Marley.

The officials are among the nine-man witness group for their case against the singer according to a report on punchng.com.

The selected witnesses will tender relevant card and account details of the defendant to the court.

On Thursday, a Federal High Court in Lagos granted a N2 million bail to Naira Marley.

Naira Marley is facing 11 counts bordering on cybercrime for allegedly conniving with one Yad Isril (at large) to use Access card issued to other persons in a bid to obtain gain, an offence contrary to Section 27(1) (b) of the Cybercrime Prohibition, Prevention Act 2015.

Presiding judge, Justice Nicholas Oweibo, adjourned proceedings to October 22, 23 and 24 for accelerated hearing.
