Unknown gunmen have reportedly abducted Pa Chilaka father of Henry Chilaka an aide of Abia State Governor Okezie Ikepazu.
The victim, said to be a leader in Ugwuati community in Ukwa West Local Government Area of the state, was abducted around 10pm on Tuesday.
The gunmen are yet to contact the victim’s family, The Nation reports.
Abia police spokesman Geoffrey Ogbonna said when contacted that the police had not been informed about the incident.
According to the newspaper, a military source confirmed the abduction but regretted the lack of cooperation from the family.
