Actor Gideon Okeke has remembered the late Sound Sultan while celebrating his dad’s 10 years death anniversary.
The actor celebrated the two men in a video uploaded on Instagram on Thursday.
According to Gideon, his dad died on November 11, the same day Sound Sultan held a concert in Lagos.
“It’s another 11 /11. For me personally on this 11 /11 day of November 2021 specially marks 10 years around the sun since my father departed since my biological father departed. It makes me feel a certain kind of way every year.
“So on the 11th of November 2011 there was only one show in town and that was Sound Sultan’s show it was billed to happen on that day, it did happen. But at 8:05 pm on that same Sunday night, my father departed right in my arms at the Ikeja medical centre. I’m just thankful to have met two great individuals, two stand up guys.
“And on this 11 11 special shout out goes to late Sound Sultan, special shout out goes to the soul of my father. Rest easy gentlemen, it was really great knowing you,” he said.
