Nana, daughter of the President of Ghana Nana Akufo-Addo, paid a visit to former aviation minister Femi Fani-Kayode on Wednesday in Abuja.

Mr Fani-Kayode shared photos of the visit on Twitter on Thursday.

Nana is also the daughter of Fani-Kayode’s older sister Remi who was married to Mr Akufo-Addo for almost a decade before their divorce. Remi bore two daughters in her marriage to the Ghanaian leader.

Actress and model Precious Chikwendu joined the minister, her former lover and father of her four children, in receiving Nana.

“It was such a joy for us to receive my beautiful niece, Nana, in our Abuja home yesterday after many years of being apart,” the ex-minister wrote.

“Nana is the first daughter of my older sister Remi Jnr. and her erstwhile husband, His Excellency President Nana Akuffo-Addo of Ghana.

“She is getting married soon and came all the way from the UK and Accra to brief our side of the family.”

Fani-Kayode said his niece “has her mother’s courage, elegance, class, beauty and strength and her father’s sharp, piercing and brilliant oratory and intellect.”

“Nigeria is your home as much as Ghana and the UK and we love you,” he told Nana via his tweet.
