Ghanaian actor, John Dumelo, visits schools as part of Volta Region tour

Ghanaian actor and philanthropist, John Dumelo, paid a visit to some schools in Ghana, on Thursday morning, as part of his Volta Region tour.

The popular actor posted a picture of himself surrounded by the students, who were excited to be around the movie star, on his Instagram page with the caption: “It was a pleasure spending my morning at the Ola Girls Catholic School in Ho. #melomoment #letsmakeAfricaabetterplace”

John revealed through another post  that he donated over a hundred mathematical sets and board markers to final year students of Nkwanta South Day School.

However, some Twitter users accused him of donating just six mathematical sets as opposed to the number he claimed to have given out.

The movie star refuted the allegation, saying “Oh, how can I look at the faces of over 100 final year students and donate just 6 maths sets.”

The About to Wed actor, who is close friends with Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson, was said to have auditioned for some roles in the award winning movie, Beasts of No Nation, along with Nigeria’s Jim Iyke but did not get the role.

Sometime last month, he said via his Instagram page, that he narrowly escaped injury after he was attacked by armed robbers while returning from a film location in Nigeria.
