Nollywood actress, Genevieve Nnaji, has produced a movie for the first time in an acting career spanning almost two decades.
The 36-year-old, who was tagged Africa’s Julia Roberts by Oprah Winfrey, announced her foray into the production world with the movie titled Road to Yesterday.
Set to premiere on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 in Lagos, Road to Yesterday tells the story of an estranged couple, Victoria and Izu, who try to mend their relationship on a road trip to a relative’s funeral. Rather than make amend when memories and secrets from the past are revealed they discover that a lot more is at stake than their relationship.
Written by Genevieve, who is also lead actress, Road to Yesterday was directed by Ishaya Bako and features Nigerian-British Oris Erhuero as lead actor.
Other actors in the movie include Chioma Omeruah, Majid Michel and Ebele Okaro.
