Gani Adams marries former Delta beauty queen Joy Onojaife

Aare Ona Kakanfo Gani Adams and new wife Joy Onojaife

The Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland Gani Adams has wedded ex-beauty queen from Delta State Joy Onojaife.

The duo got married at the bride’s home in Lagos on Saturday, December 9.

Onojaife is the daughter of Lagos-based architect, Lucky Onojaife, according to her biography shared on the Oodua Facebook page on Sunday.

Oba of Shasha Kingdom Oba Babatunde Ariwajoye led the groom’s people to the occasion.

The Parakoyi Aareonakakanfo of Yorubaland, Prof. Kolawole Raheem, led other members of the Aare-In-Council, including Atoloye Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, Babajide Tanimowo; Barejiro Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, Dauda Asikolaye; Asoju Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, Yinka Oguntimehin; and Akinrogun Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, Kazeem Hamzat.

Others were former chief press secretary to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu; Olusegun Ajiboye; member of the Olokun Festival Foundation, Ambassador Olugbenga Onasanya; Aare’s aides on media, Kehinde Aderemi, special duties, Samson Oseni, and on Gani Adams Foundation, Tolu Ajibade.

The Aare’s wife is a former Miss Delta and graduate of physiology from Delta State University.

She had both elementary and secondary school education in Lagos at Queen Maris College. She is presently studying for a master’s degree.

She was crowned the Most Beautiful Girl in Urhoboland in 2012.

The Aare married his first wife Mojisola in October 2003. The wedding was held at LTV Ground, Ikeja. The couple welcomed twins in 2020. The marriage has since ended.
