The question on everyone’s mind at the end of season 5 was Did Jon Snow really die and what character will suffer the fate of death next?

The premiere episode of the new season partly answers the question. Yes, Jon Snow is dead but then Melisandre is seen arriving the scene of his murder.

Viewers worldwide will hope she would perform some sort of magic to bring Jon Snow to life (she’s done it plenty times) but she did not do that. So it’s official, Jon Snow is dead.

Sansa and Theon escape death from Ramsay’s men, with the help of Brienne and her steward, while Ramsay mourns his lover Myranda.

Ramsay swears that Sansa and Theon will suffer a thousand times for the pain they caused Myranda, then he orders her body to be fed to the dogs. This can only happen in GOT, where you give your dogs your lover’s corpse to feast on, but then again she was the Kennel Keeper’s daughter, so maybe she wouldn’t mind.

Remember Dorne and his son Trystane? Well, they were murdered by Ellari (who killed Myrcella a.k.a Trystane’s girlfriend) and her daughters. This literally means that the Dorne family has been wiped out just like the Stark family except for Arya, Sansa, Bran and Rickon (no sighting of Bran and Rickon yet).

So there you have it, Jon Snow, Dorne and Trystane are dead (just the premiere episode) while the rest of the GOT characters are still in the struggle to stay alive. Who will survive ? No one really knows.
