Funmi Iyanda, Abike Dabiri, Ezekwesili react to Ibidun Ighodalo’s death

Media entrepreneur, Funmi Iyanda, Chairman/chief executive officer of Nigerian Diaspora Commission, (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa and former presidential candidate, Oby Ezekwesili, have reacted to the death of former beauty queen, Ibidun Ighodalo, who died on Sunday of a suspected heart attack.

They all shared their messages on Twitter shortly after the death of the 40-year-old wife of Pastor Ituah-Ighodalo of Trinity House church Lagos, was confirmed.

Funmi wrote, “This saddens me. She was a truly sweet and open soul. I vividly remember her bravery sharing a deeply personal story on new dawn around 2004/5…”

While Abike wrote, “Unbelievable! Ibidun. Dead??My own dear Sister. I am still hoping I will be told it’s not true!!!!!”

And Ezekwesili wrote, “Life! Ibidun Ighodalo? Just gone ……. like a candle in the wind. Too much of a heartbreaking news…”

Lawal Nurudeen, manager of Elizabeth R, an events company owned by the former face of Lux, confirmed that the 40-year-old died in her hotel room.

She was in Rivers State to open to a coronavirus isolation centre after opening similar centres in Lagos and other parts of the country.
