Filmmaker Funke Akindele has expressed support for the upcoming film EVI, produced by Judith Audu.
Funke shared the trailer of the film on Instagram on Saturday and praised the project ahead of its cinema release.

EVI is written and directed by Uyoyou Adia and is scheduled to open in cinemas across Nigeria on March 27. The film is produced by Judith Audu Productions in collaboration with Switch Visuals Productions, Signet Rings Productions and NOI Productions.
The movie tells the story of Evi Oghene-Donalds, a talented but arrogant music star whose career collapses after her record label drops her. Forced to confront the realities of life outside fame, she begins a journey of self discovery while trying to rebuild her career with the help of those around her.
The cast includes Osas Okonyon in the lead role, alongside Uzor Arukwe, Omowunmi Dada, Ibrahim Suleiman, Waje Iruobe and Femi Branch among others.
The musical drama explores themes such as pride, loyalty, addiction and redemption while highlighting the pressures faced by women in the music industry.
The film will be distributed in Nigerian cinemas nationwide by FilmOne Entertainment.
