Leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has alleged that “Fulani assassins” have invaded his residence at Isiama-Afaraukwu, Umuahia, Abia State.

In a tweet late Saturday, Mr Kanu said the men arrived at his apartment in a white Toyota Hilux.

Kanu, who is currently on self-imposed exile, threatened to expose those who sent them.

“The Fulani assassins in a white Toyota Hilux loitering in front of my house in Isiama-Afaraukwu tonight better retrace their steps. Whoever sent them will be exposed and held accountable. The Efulefus that invited them on this dark day are in for one almighty shock,” he said.

The military had in a mission known as Operation Python Dance raided Kanu’s residence in September 2017, killing several members of the group.
