At least four children have been injured in a building collapse in Ososa area of Bariga, Lagos.

The collapse was said to have occurred around 9:30 pm on Sunday.

Those injured include twin girls, Kehinde and Taye, their brother Idowu, another unnamed child and the landlord identified as Pa Ayilara.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) said the injured persons were moved to the hospital same night for treatment while the two-storey building has been sealed.

LASEMA spokesman, Kehinde Adebayo, in a statement said all residents have been evacuated.

“The Director-General of LASEMA, Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, advised the owner of the structure to ensure holistic assessment is carried out by Lagos State Building Control Agency (LABSCA) before any repairs,” Mr Adebayo said.
