A former Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission and a professor at the University of Ibadan, Prof Abdulganiy Raji, is dead.
His family announced his death in a statement on Friday.
According to the statement, Prof. Raji, who served as INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in Ekiti, Ogun and Osun states, died peacefully in his sleep on Friday, at his residence in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
The late academic was a professor of Agricultural and Environmental Engineering at the University of Ibadan.
The family said Janazah prayers will be held on Saturday, December 20, at the Ogbomoso Central Mosque, Oja’agbo, by 11am.
He will thereafter be buried at a Muslim cemetery in Ogbomoso.
Professor Abdulganiy Raji is survived by his wife, children, friends and other family members.
