Actress Foluke Daramola was visibly emotional at the funeral of her mother, Aderonke Daramola, which took place on Friday at Justash Private Vault, Yaba, Lagos.
In one poignant moment captured on video, Foluke was seen breaking down in tears as her mother’s casket was lowered into the grave, with friends and family members, including her husband Kayode Salako, offering comfort and support.
Foluke had announced her mother’s death in March, revealing that Aderonke, who was just two months shy of her 82nd birthday, had died.
The 47-year-old shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram, posting a video montage of memorable moments spent with her mother, accompanied by the message, “My mum is gone.”
The bond between Foluke and her late mother, Reverend (Mrs.) Aderonke Daramola (née Oshobu), was deeply cherished.
In May 2023, the actress had celebrated her mother’s 80th birthday, calling her a “wonderful vessel” used by God and emphasising her preference for a simple, modest celebration.
