Nollywood actress, Foluke Daramola, has debunked the reports that Lanre Hassan, popularly known as Iya Awero, Lari Williams and Sunday Akinola, popularly known as Baba Feyikogbon, are asking her for financial assistance.

The 41-year-old cleared the air in a video she posted on Instagram on Friday.

She said, “…People have been calling me concerning Uncle Lari, Iya Awero and Baba Feyikogbon…These people are not begging me for food or money in any way…”

The Sade takes Lagos actress especially called out Opera News, whom she accused of spreading misleading information.

“…Especially Opera News…I beg you…Just don’t defame people’s character unnecessarily…”

Foluke Daramola through her foundation, The Passion Against Rape and Abuse in Africa (PARAA) has been providing food and financial assistance to some veteran actors.

She explained her reason for doing this in a November 2019 interview with The National Mandate Newspaper.

“Some of these actors have put in so much over the many years in the growth, progress and development of the entertainment and Nollywood industry in Nigeria, and so, they do not deserve to be neglected, forgotten or left alone to continue to wriggle in economic hardship and pains,” she said.
