Florence Ajimobi has paid tribute to her daughter Abisola Kola-Daisi on the first anniversary of her death.

In a post shared on Instagram on Friday, Mrs Ajimobi said her daughter would always remain loved, cherished and missed by her family and others who knew her.

“Forever loved, forever cherished, forever missed,” she wrote.

She described Abisola as her first child and said the memories they shared continue to stay with her.

“Today, I write with a heart that is still both broken and full,” she said, explaining the mixed feelings she has continued to experience since her daughter’s passing.

Ajimobi said she feels pain over the loss but remains grateful for the life her daughter lived and the time they spent together.

“Broken because I have lost my first child. Full because of the love and memories she gave to me, our family and others,” she added.

She said her daughter’s life affected many people and that her memory continues to live on through those she touched.

“To lose a daughter is to lose a part of oneself, yet I know she is not truly gone,” she said, noting that she believes her daughter’s presence remains through memories and shared experiences.

Ajimobi also expressed hope of seeing her daughter again in the future.

“I trust that one day, we will meet again,” she said.

She said she has accepted her daughter’s death and remains thankful to God for her life.

“Today, I release her, not in sorrow, but in love,” she said, adding that she is holding on to faith and hope.

Abisola’s husband Kolapo Kola-Daisi also shared a message to mark the anniversary, reflecting on the past year since her death.

“It’s been a year since you left us. It all just seems like yesterday,” he wrote, describing how quickly time has passed.

He said her presence continues to be felt by the family in their daily lives.

“Your love and your memory continue to live with us every day,” he added.

He also thanked family, friends and others who supported them after her death, saying their messages and prayers have brought comfort.

“We miss you beyond what words can express. We know we will be together again one day,” he said.

Abisola Kola-Daisi died on March 27, 2025, in the United Kingdom at the age of 44 after an illness linked to breast cancer.

She was the eldest daughter of former Oyo State governor Abiola Ajimobi and a mother of three.
