Flavour releases fifth studio album titled Ijele

Flavour

2Nite Entertainment artiste, Flavour N’abania, has released his fifth studio album titled Ijele (The Traveler).

The man born Chinedu Okoli uploaded the album cover artwork on his Instagram page on Tuesday.

He also disclosed that the album was only available for purchase and download on iTunes.

Ijele consists of 17 tracks, and features acts like Sarkodie, Chidinma, Phyno, and Terry Akpala.

Often regarded as the king of modern highlife, Flavour began his musical career as a drummer and keyboardist for a local church in his hometown of Enugu State.

He released his debut album titled N’abania through Obaino Music in 2005.

The album’s success was relative and limited to Eastern Nigeria, particularly the artiste’s home state.

His second album, Uplifted, released in 2010 gave him the break he earnestly craved.

The album broke international barriers, with its biggest single, ‘Nwa Baby (Ashawo Remix)’ becoming an anthem across Africa.

Uplifted had other hits like ‘Adamma’ and ‘Oyi Remix’ featuring Tiwa Savage.

The 30-year-old father of two also released Blessed in 2012 and Thankful in 2014.

He has since embarked on a social media campaign to promote the songs in his fifth studio album.
