First video of Mr Ibu after amputation surfaces

A video showing ailing actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, as he is been taken care of by his adopted daughter, Jasmine has surfaced online.

Jasmine shared the video on her Instagram page Thursday, 10 days after it was announced that the actor had undergone seven successful surgeries, including an amputation of one of his legs.

The 42-second footage detailed how she has been taking care of Mr Ibu since he was admitted to a hospital.

Jasmine captioned the new video, “As long as you are getting better, nothing else matters. I remain silent until you are back on your feet again! Cheers.”

The caption was in response to the multiple allegations against Jasmine by Mr Ibu’s wife Stella Maris.

Stella Maris made a post accusing Jasmine of denying her access to the funds donated for Mr Ibu’s surgery. She further claimed Jasmine and her stepson Daniel secretly got married and are planning to relocate abroad.

This happened after Ibu’s wife Stella Maris put up a video, claiming that the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) lied about helping her husband, the statement was immediately debunked by the guild’s director of communications Kate Henshaw who insisted that the guild has been supporting Mr Ibu.
