FIFA Ranking: Super Eagles soar; World Cup foes crash

Nigeria’s Super Eagles climbed five spot in the latest FIFA World Ranking released on Thursday.
The three-time African champions moved into the top 50 (47) after indifferent results at the last international break.
Gernot Rohr’s men edged Poland 1-0 in Warsaw, only to be beaten 2-0 by Serbia three days later in London.
Meanwhile, Nigeria’s World Cup foes, Argentina, Croatia and Iceland all lost grounds on the log.
While the South Americans dropped one spot to fifth, the Europeans nations lost three and four respectively.
Globally, the top three consisting of Germany, Brazil and Belgium remained unchanged.
In the continent, however, Tunisia plunged to the summit.
Complimented by Senegal, DR Congo, Morocco and Egypt.
