The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) says it is contacting the Nigerian mission in Islamabad, Pakistan to investigate a video of a Nigerian being brutalised and threatened.

The Nigerian, whose identity has not been confirmed, is seen in the video being urged by an unseen man to tell his brother to return money to a man named Abdullahi or be killed on July 10.

It is believed that the Nigerian’s ‘brother’ ripped a Pakistani gang of money.

In a Twitter thread on Tuesday, NIDCOM urged the Nigerian community in Pakistan to remain calm and await investigation from the mission.

“Our attention has been drawn to this disturbing video of a Nigerian brutally beaten up and threatened to be killed by a Deadly Pakistani Gang after his brother ripped off the gang,” it said.

“We are escalating immediately to our mission in Islamabad, Pakistan for investigation.

“We call on Nigeria Community in Pakistan to be calm as the Mission will investigate and revert.”
