Fani-Kayode’s ex-lover threatens media with legal action over police allegation in court

Precious Chikwendu, ex-lover of the former minister of aviation Femi Fani-Kayode, has threatened the media with legal action over an allegation made by the police against her in court.

On Friday, at the Federal High Court in Abuja, the police alleged that Ms Chikwendu threatened witnesses lined up in the alleged attempted murder charge against her.

The alleged offence was listed as count 14 in the amended charges.

According to the police, the alleged offence was committed by Chikwendu and co-defendant Emmanuel Anakan on Wednesday within the court’s premises.

They were alleged to have “criminally threatened the lives of Bako Maina, Isah Kudaru and other witnesses in the case to eliminate them by death if they insist in testifying in the case.”

However, reacting to the reports published widely, Chikwendu posted a screenshot of the report published by PUNCH in an Instagram post, saying it was “fake news”.

She said, “Before my lawyer reaches you officially, be reminded that all corners of the Federal High Court is wired with a cctv covering and I avoided stating earlier that the police prosecutor insulted me when my lawyer called him to report the situation of Mr chamelion’s police security and bodyguards following me everywhere I went in the courtroom.

“I have proofs all the way to my car. Since you all want to aid an abuser go free and turn priceless jewels to a replica of himself because for whatever irrelevant reasons you have, let’s see how this plays out.”

The former beauty queen, in another Instagram post, shared comments by some persons who allegedly attended the court hearing on Wednesday and Friday.
