Tumininu Fani-Kayode daughter of a former minister of aviation Femi Fani-Kayode has joined the Black Lives Matter protest in London, United Kingdom.

The proud father Mr Fani-Kayode took to Instagram on Thursday, August 13 to tell the world his daughter joined the famous movement.

Tumininu appeared at the Black Lives Matter protest at Parliament Square, Westminster, Central London in a sports bra and her pair of trousers hanging slightly below her waist to reveal her underwear.

“My beautiful daughter Tumininu Fani-Kayode spotted at the Black Lives Matter protests by Misan Harriman, the first ever black photographer to shoot Vogue’s September Issue cover. So proud of her,” he wrote.

Tumininu’s picture with an arm held high, the symbol of support for the movement, was taken by Misan Harriman, the first black male photographer in British Vogue’s 104-year history to shoot a cover and the first black person to ever shoot a September issue cover for the famous magazine.

The Black Lives Matter protests surged in the United States in May before extending to literally all parts of the world after an African American man George Floyd was killed during an arrest for allegedly passing a counterfeit $20 bill in Minneapolis.

A white police officer Derek Chauvin knelt on Floyd’s neck for nearly eight minutes. The dismissed officer and others are facing prosecution.

Several other notable Nigerians have at different occasions joined the Black Lives Matter protests in London – DJ Cuppy, British-Nigerian boxer Anthony Joshua and British-Nigerian actor John Boyega.

Tumininu Fani-Kayode, who describes herself as a queer African, graduated in 2015 with a second class upper degree in Bio-Medical Science from Kings College, London. Her mother is Yemisi Olasunbo Adeniji.

The ex-minister had earlier questioned the paternity of three children from his former wife, Yemisi.

Fani-Kayode has been married four times. His first marriage was to Saratu Atta in 1987 but they were divorced by 1990.

The second marriage was to Yemisi, Tumininu’s mother, in 1991 and they were divorced by 1995. The third marriage was to Regina-Hanson Amonoo.

He is now married to a former beauty queen Precious Chikwendu. They got married in 2014 and have four boys.
