Actress Faithia Williams has returned to Instagram nine months after losing access to her account.

The 56-year-old announced her comeback in an Instagram post on Thursday, thanking the technician who helped recover the page.

“I’m back ooooooooooo. After 9 months. Thanks so much @kennywhite4rew. You are indeed a Recovery guru,” she wrote.

Faithia had been off the platform since March, a disappearance that left fans wondering why she suddenly stopped posting.

Her return comes after a series of personal challenges in the last two years. In 2024, the Yoruba movie star announced the death of her father. In the emotional message shared at the time, she wrote, “With a heavy heart, I am sad to say goodnight to my loving father. May his gentle soul rest in peace.” The loss led her to stay away from social media for a period, with the actress telling fans she would “return stronger.”

Later that same year, she went offline again while grieving the death of her stepdaughter, a situation she described as deeply painful. Her renewed presence online then came with words of gratitude to those who reached out and prayed for her.

Faithia also stirred reactions in 2024 when she signed off one of her comeback posts with her ex-husband’s surname, writing, “Faithia Williams Balogun. My sincere apologies. I’m coming back even stronger.” The addition of “Balogun” trended at the time as fans debated her decision to use the name years after her divorce from actor Saidi Balogun.
