OritsefemiOritsefemi Majemite Ekele, popularly known simply as Oritse Femi, has responded to singer-turned-critic, Etcetera, who took a swipe at him and other artistes for allegedly exaggerating their financial worth.

Etcetera had lashed out at celebs for allegedly feeding the public with false stories about their acquisitions, and he mentioned Oritse Femi’s name regarding a house which the latter is said to have bought in Lekki for 12 million naira.

The former X3M Music act who traded the microphone for the pen further said that he didn’t know the type of songs Oritse Femi was singing to afford such a house.

Responding in a chat with qed.ng, Oritse Femi said, “Some people think success is just a joke. They don’t know where you’re coming from, and they just say whatever they like. It’s been a long-time coming for me, and anybody that knows my story will know that I’m not an overnight success.”

Oritse Femi, the third child of his mother in a polygamous family of 25, told our correspondent he misses his father a year after his demise.

“I miss his encouragement. How I wish he’s alive to see that I’ve achieved the things he was always encouraging me about,” the Ajegunle bred artiste said.
