Entertainment Bus-Stop Ltd, in collaboration with First Bank of Nigeria Limited, is set to host the 10th edition of its flagship initiative, The Family Meeting series, on May 17.

The event, which coincides with the United Nations’ International Day of Families, will occur at The National Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos, from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m.

This year’s event, themed Preserve Our Family Unity in Peace, Security and Moral Values, aims to foster open and thought-provoking discussions on the importance of the family unit in building responsible and resilient citizens amid changing cultural norms and global uncertainty.

Designed for parents, students and key community stakeholders, the meeting will explore parenting strategies to cultivate nurturing environments and impart essential soft skills such as attentive listening, emotional intelligence and empathy.

The organisers emphasise that reinforcing value-based family dynamics rooted in respect, integrity and cultural traditions remains critical in addressing the social, emotional and spiritual challenges of modern life.

The 2025 edition will feature prominent speakers, including Debbie Odutayo, CEO of Royal Roots Communication Network, former chairman of the Association of Nigerian Authors, Ifeanyichukwu Avajah, and Onome Odili, who will serve as the event’s moderator.

First Bank of Nigeria Limited is backing this year’s edition as part of its commitment to nurturing intergenerational relationships and empowering families.

Additional sponsors include Sovereign Trust Insurance, Leadership Empowerment and Resource Network and the National Theatre.

Now in its 10th year, The Family Meeting series remains a key Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative by Entertainment Bus-Stop Ltd, promoting community dialogue and sustainable family engagement.

According to the programme director and CEO of Entertainment Bus-Stop Ltd, Eki Eboigbe, the event underscores a simple but profound belief, “Families grow stronger when they do meaningful things together.”
