Media personality Enioluwa Adeoluwa has thrown his weight behind his friend, celebrity chef Hilda Baci, as she makes another Guinness World Record attempt.
In an Instagram post on Friday, Enioluwa shared pictures and a video of moments with Hilda, praising her determination.
“There’s truly nothing you set your mind to that you don’t achieve. You’re such a go-getter – an incredible friend, an amazing sister, and one of the best things to happen to my world. I’m so proud of you,” he wrote.
“Today, as you break yet another world record, because I know you will – just know I’m cheering you on with all my heart. Wishing you all the success in the world, my love. I’ll be rooting for you every step of the way, no matter the distance. I love you endlessly. Go Hilda, go! Go Hilda, go!”
Hilda is attempting to cook the world’s largest pot of jollof rice at the Gino World Jollof Festival holding today at Eko Hotel Car Park B, Lagos. The event, which was earlier scheduled for Muri Okunola Park, Victoria Island, is expected to host over 20,000 registered attendees.
To set the record, she will use a custom pot with a capacity of 22,619 litres, aiming to fill it up to 80 percent, with about 250 bags of rice.
In May 2023, Hilda cooked for 93 hours and 11 minutes to claim the Guinness World Record for the longest individual cooking marathon. The feat was later surpassed by Irish chef Alan Fisher who cooked for 119 hours and 57 minutes.
Enioluwa was also one of her strongest supporters during her first record-breaking attempt, frequently sharing updates and cheering her on.
